I'm gonna guess that she's happily startled because, for example, mine hit his weed pen outside every 15 minutes and fell asleep on the couch and never once came near me. I think that my experience (or smth similar) is pretty common.

Edit: Hi, I'm an actually human person and was the first to comment on this. I'm not trying to start a damn war of the roses, and apparently this is NOT the correct answer (see the next comment below mine). Just popped in with my stupid, obviously incorrect thought about what this could mean. So chill with calling me a stupid whore.

This is NOT common.

I was a midwife for 10 years, unfortunately I'd say it's quite common. Not the majority, but certainly a large minority.

Why are these women having babies with men they know are losers. No way that behavior manifests for the first time in the birthing room, if you date a loser you can’t expect anything but a loser.

It often does only begin to manifest during pregnancy. Pregnancy is a huge trigger for first-time intimate partner violence.

"Why do so many men end up with women who cheat and manipulate them? And then they drag them in the divorce?

Why are these men falling for these losers? No way that behavior manifests for the first time years into the marriage."

It's almost like yes, people can be nice when they're trying to get you locked in, and then behavior deteriorates over the years. This is documented. And yeah, there are early signs, but when 90% of the time things are great, people make excuses for the 10%...especially when the internet is full of quotes like, "The grass is greener where you water it," and "Relationships take work, you can't just walk away any time there's a problem."

And finally, humans are all culminations of their experiences, and some people have grown up with terrible examples of "normal." This is evidenced by the comment that started this chain, who thinks men being total losers is normal.

Humans, emotions, and relationships can be complex. Maybe quit being judgy and understand it's not that simple.
