This is NOT common.

I was a midwife for 10 years, unfortunately I'd say it's quite common. Not the majority, but certainly a large minority.

In what country? This sound horrendous!

All countries. This is how men are socialized :/

Bullshit

My guy, if you think that’s not the case, you 1) need to get out more, and 2) need to talk to women and medical professionals more. It happens more in some places and less in others, but there’s not a country on earth where it’s not a regular occurrence even where it’s not the majority.

And there are definitely lots of places where this is close to 100%.

Then prove it.

They won't be able to. The amount of negative bullshit people are willing to believe when it's about men is astonishing.

Edit: reddit is so predictable, look u/whistleridge can have all the time in the world, and they won't be able to come up with the data because it's misandrist nonsense not based in reality. To every single one of you downvoting, I hope you all can get better and rejoin the rest of us in reality.

Would you mind linking the proof you already have then?

It’s literally right there in reply to him, but sure.

You can't be serious...

You think that your ass-pull rant is proof of anything?

1

u/whistleridge Apr 24 '26 edited Apr 24 '26

Yep.

Which is why you aren’t able to engage even a single point of the substance of it, and are trying to dismiss it out of hand instead.

Edit: and last-commenting, name-calling, and blocking me deeeeeefinitely doesn’t disprove a thing I said lmao. Particularly not when you’re replying so quickly that there’s no possibility that you actually engaged any of the materials provided.

It does, however, do a lot to suggest that this person doesn’t know how to manage their emotions well when confronted with evidence that their pre-existing ideas might not be as solid as all that.

So one person's shit experience is proof of a widespread and socialized behavior?

1

u/whistleridge Apr 24 '26

No. It is an exemplar of a widespread and socialized behavior. The proof of it is the ample empirical evidence that I provided some examples of, plus some basic knowledge of human history and common sense.

Tell me about it. 60% of reddit can be summarized with two words: "Men bad"
