I'm gonna guess that she's happily startled because, for example, mine hit his weed pen outside every 15 minutes and fell asleep on the couch and never once came near me. I think that my experience (or smth similar) is pretty common.

Edit: Hi, I'm an actually human person and was the first to comment on this. I'm not trying to start a damn war of the roses, and apparently this is NOT the correct answer (see the next comment below mine). Just popped in with my stupid, obviously incorrect thought about what this could mean. So chill with calling me a stupid whore.

Nah it's not. I can see how someone would want to normalise such a shitty event to deal with it but the fathers I know and myself have been much much more involved and supportive than our fathers were

Nah I’m not even that good of a dad but getting high on the day your child is born is crazy work you need to call a number or something

Especially when mom is the one with part of her insides ripped out and tears on her taint who can’t use cannabis without risking custody of her baby and other kids if she has any.

Hospital staff are designated reporters and would have to contact the hospital social workers if they smelled marijuana or saw the father vaping and looking high.

Even if the hospital was fine with the dad using marijuana it’s a really self centered thing to do when the mother of your baby who is in severe pain can’t have any and has to watch your high ass. You wouldn’t even be able to do your job of helping her to the bathroom and helping out with the baby.

if you are panic prone, easily stressed, more used to low dose edibles than whatever pill they would offer. i don’t see why not. locking in not zoning out. i can see it. weed works differently for different people

Yeah sure man I don’t know about you but I’ve never referred to taking my Lexapro as “celebratory”. Get a grip.

Even the medicinal use of cannabis is almost entirely recreational. If you have Parkinson's and you want an edible at the hospital that's one thing but for your anxiety disorder you do not need to self medicated in the delivery room.
