Just had our first child 3 weeks ago. I was saying this phrase and every other encouraging thing I could think of. 34 hours of contractions before finally going to C section... Things got repetitive honestly. Going through a dozen versions of "You're doing great honey. You got this"

My wife got sick of hearing me trying to encourage her! . She'd reply "I know! Shut up"

Frankly I don't remember too much about it.

we went in around 5pm, and they gradually started inducing. took over 24hrs until everything was getting close enough to cause a buzz of nurses and her doc.

I mostly stayed awake and focused on listening to the nurses and doctors, and supporting my wife, making sure she only needs to focus on the monumental task ahead of her. same after the birth until we left the hospital and got home, at which point I practically collapsed from exhaustion.

I am not saying my wife wasn't more exhausted or anything, mind. She was working harder than me, I just wanted to make sure she can focus on one thing without having to worry about everything else. I'll get you a snack, a drink, and remember what the doctor said, you just try and be comfortable.
