I'm gonna guess that she's happily startled because, for example, mine hit his weed pen outside every 15 minutes and fell asleep on the couch and never once came near me. I think that my experience (or smth similar) is pretty common.

What's your source? Reddit comments? I'm a doctor and I don't experience this often while working with my patients.
See, maybe I just made that up entirely, but there's no way you could tell if I'm lying or not. And that's how you should look at all these comments, because anyone can make up anything on reddit.
