Furthermore, why is it not interesting to talk about these deadbeat dads? Why is it not as satisfying to degrade them instead? Why do we need to 'stop coddling' women who believed their partner to be a good person? Where are the calls for them to 'take some damn responsibility for their actions'?

Seems very much like you and everyone else is giving them a pass since no one ever wants to talk about them, no one ever wants to shame them. What isn't interesting about it?

I mean come on, either "women are sexist for saying that men are unsupportive during labor" like some are arguing here, or actually its "uninteresting" because that behavior really IS that common from men to the point its a stereotype, but it cannot be both.

Your incessant need to make this a competition and find sexism is weird. Its simply uninteresting that dead beat dad's exist because we already know this. Its simply unnecessary to say they need to take responsibility because no one is defending them. Conversely it is needed to say we shouldn't coddle the women who are with them because you are in fact doing so.

Im going to disengage now because you seem intent on missing my point.

Had this been a conversation where men were posting about their gold digging hoe cheating partners. We would all be commentinf on those men's choices. It is simply the front of mind, direct link we would engage with and the people who are making the posts. Not the subjects of the post. The psychology of those men making that choice so frequently would also be more interresting subject matter than the fact that gold digging hoes exist and are in fact shitty people. We would all already kbow that.

Really really keen to ignore realities aren't you?

"No you."

This really what youre turning this discussion into? Are you really that desperate to get the last word in?

Idk man I thought you were "disengaging" and I'm still waiting for that to happen, so.

1

u/Slazagna Apr 24 '26

You'll note that I've stopped trying to explain or expand on my point. You may wish to figure out what the phrase disengaging means before trying to use it as some argument to again, very pathetically, get the last jab in.

Ah, but you're still here! Also trying to get the last word in. Doesn't that make you just as pathetic as me, friend? Seems like you're projecting about something unrelated because you know your initial argument sucked.

I never said i was going. And at this point im just having fun. I also never actually made an argument. I simply explained my perspective and what I thought was a likely explaination for why people were focused on the women choosing shitty partners over the partnwrs being shitty. You were the only one disagreeing and arguing and acting as if we were all.just terrible shitty men who just hate women and want to bag on them at any opperuntity we get.

"Discussion" mind you, didn't answer any of my valid questions and just cried sexism to get out of doing any real thinking...

u/Slazagna Apr 24 '26

Wow, so worked uo youve gone for a double jab. I believe you'll find that I answered all of your questions. Its not my fault you're so blinded by your sexist views that you completely failed at comprehending them.

"Gone for the double jab" brother, it is simply having an additional thought, this isn't a duel. Did you tip your fedora when you wrote that?

And no, you're being facetious about "commenting about the women rather than talking about the men because they're talking about having bad partners" and not engaging with the underlying reasons for that.
